Vivant van de Heffinck - Schockemohle Stud

$995
photo

Vivant van de Heffinck has been among the best stallions in international show-jumping for years, always imposing through robustness, character, maneuverability, scope and great technique. This modernly-built stallion was one of the best horses worldwide in 2010 with the Australian Chris Chugg. In 2011, he was successful in Nations’ Cups with Katharina Offel and in 2015, he was successful at the European Championships in Aachen with Cassio Rivetti (UKR), even though he was 17 years old. Vivant possesses a very interesting and diverse pedigree. The high-valuably Holstein bred dam-sire Landino, by Landgraf I-Roman, was successful for many years with Ludo Philippaerts under the Belgian flag. Hedjaz in the third generation was also dam-sire to the fourth-placed Olympian in Sydney in 2000, Otterongo, and McLain Ward’s (USA) Sapphire, one of the most successful show-jumpers of the last years.

In Australia, Vivant already has internationally successful offspring. In Europe and Germany, Vivant was, to date, only available in frozen semen and was therefore not used very much. In 2015, Verano was his first licensed son in Holstein; his oldest descendants are now just becoming old enough to compete and some are already successful in show-jumping competitions.

His sire Fuego du Prelet, bred from the stallion line of Almé Z, was successful in 1.60m international show-jumping with Dirk Demeersman. Jalisco is is the sire of the 1990 World Champion, Quito de Baussy, and the magnificent line founding stallion, Quidam de Revel, as well as the highly profiled sire, Paillon Rouge. The dam's sire, Landino by Landgraf, comes from the same family that produced Carprilli. Hedjaz, found in the third generation, another French trademark stallion, is also the dam's sire of Otterongo who took the Vice European Champion title and fourth place in the Olympic Games in Athens under Ludo Philippaerts (BEL) as well as McLain Ward's Sapphire (USA) – one of the best mares in international show jumping for years. Vivant – Off to a new era!
