Talan is brave and scopey with a consistent, measured, and deceptively fast pace. Talan has a large number of achievements from his time in Great Brittain and Saudi Arabia.  For the Brittish, Talan placed at the Hickstead Derby and in the Longines King George V Gold Cup. He was also part of the 2011 winning Nations Cup team in Dublin and gained much recognition under saddle of Robert Smith (GB) who competed him at the 2010 World Equestrian Games in Kentucky before he was sold to Saudi Equestrian.

Talan was ridden extensively by HH Prince Faisal Al-Shalan and Abdullah Al-Sharbatly in many Longines and other international showjumping competitions through 2017. He has gained much experience, placings, and winnings and 2014 he jumped at the World Equestrian Games and also took home a silver medal at the Asian Games that year.  In 2015, Al-Sharbatly took over riding Talan and together then won the CSI3* World Cup in Mostaganem and placed second in the CSI5* Grand Prix in Riyadh.

After a long and successful career, Talan was retired at 17 years old to focus on breeding.
