Nartago is an experienced showjumper whose sire is none other than the legendary Carthago. Nartago himself is an international competitor of the highest caliber.  He jumped in 1.55 International Grand Prix with the Portugese and won the three-year-old Championship for Selle Francais stallions.  Nartago was very successful before he was returned to the barn in 2005 to concentrate on breeding.  Since then he has produced several winning offspring like Sellia du Bessin, Shamira Semilly, and Tessy du Bessin to name a few.

Nartago's sire Carthago became an Olympian having competed in the Atlanta and Sydney Olympics.  He also won the Nations Cup in Aachen, Rotterdam and La Baule, as well as, numerous Grand Prix.

Carthago is considered by many to be one of the most affluent sires of quality, showjumping horses.  He is also considered to be the most valuable product of the known stallion Capitol I.  In his lifetime Carthago has spread his genetics far and at the time of his death in 2013 he had already produced 73 licensed sons world-wide.
