Acolito I (Archived)

acolito 1

Acolito was discovered at the Verden Foal Auction in 2004, and his pedigree is an arrangement of finest international show jumping bloodlines. His sire Acord II won his stallion performance test and was federal vice champion. Armonia La Silla (Rolf-Göran Bengtsson), the licensed VDL Atlantic (Wout-Jan van der Schans) and Adolfo FRH (Henrike Konzag) are some of his successful, advanced level offspring. His dam’s sire, Contender, won his stallion performance test, and he is the number one Holstein state stud stallion. He is the sire of the winner of the Holstein stallion licensing in 2006, and he ranks at the top of the show jumping breeding evaluation. Almé Z and Ramiro are famous stallions from the Zangersheide Stud and represented in third and fourth generation. They became well-known in the 80s. His great-granddam is the famous mare Rinnetou Z, one of the most successful international show jumping horses of her generation under Piet Raymakers. She has a perfect show jumping background with Winnetou and Wolfsburg, the two black Hanoverian stallions who are well-known for their excellent show jumping prepotency. Rinnetou Z is also the great-granddaughter of the fabulous Fairness/Hartwig Steenken (by Flußfischer – Despot – Alcantara II). Rinnetou’s dam Wanda Z and the granddam Wencke Z were successful Zangersheide mares, and they have spread this line to other breeding areas. The stallions Amaretto I (privately owned stallion in Rhineland, Netherlands; successful at international level with Hugo Simon), Amaretto II (privately owned stallion in Rhineland, Hanover, USA), Amaretto IV DZ (privately owned stallion in Rhineland), the winner of his stallion licensing Apricot D II (privately owned stallion in Rhineland), Chardonnay Z (Zangersheide), Pilaro (privately owned stallion in Westphalia) and Rival Z (Belgium) and the internationally successful top-class horses Absolom Z/Michael Whitaker (GBR), Apricot D/Hugo Simon (AUT), Cornelis Z/Thomas Ehrenrooth (NL), Rhodos Z/Peter Geerink (NL) and Zalza/Nick Skelton (GBR) descend also from this line. It’s hard to imagine a better lineage. The inbred component to the foundation sires Almé Z, Cor de la Bryère and Ramiro is also obvious. Acolito presents a tremendous technique and scope at the jumps and his basic gaits are of first-class quality. Even though he has been only a short time under the saddle, his rideability can hardly be topped. He is a promising breed stallion as well as a successful future star in the show jumping course.
