Rascin (Archived)

photo

With his impressive and athletic shape this stunning stallion, Rascin, appears again and again on top in the showjumping world.  As the son of the Holsteiner stallion Ramiro and the grandson of the Pilot, Rascin has a highly sought after pedigree. Ramiro in his time was very successful in international showjumping under Fritz Ligges before he became dominant in the international showjumping circuit. His sire, Ramiro has had more than 70 sons approved and his progeny thrives in the international showjumping arena. Of the successful progeny of Ramiro, we know of the prematurely deceased Olympic stallion Royal Kaliber, Chris Kappler, Ramzes, Rinnetou Z, Ratina Z, and Ramiros Girl to name few. Grand sire Pilot is the sire of more than 50 approved stallions including Prestige Pilot Pro Pilot II, Peter Pan and Pit I. Pilot has repeatedly delivered successful sporthorses like Pedro (team gold Olympics Seoul), Pirol IV, Showtime, Papillon, and Pia Lotta Jan Tops.  After his approval Rascin performed strong at the Hanoverian Studbook in 1998 in Adelheidsdorf where he won the jumping champion title with 131.56 points. In international showjumping Rascin, under Piet Raijmakers, impresses yet again with his unsurpassed power and unprecedented caution. Rascin won first place in the Final Ranking of the Sires of the World Competition in 2004-2005, as well as, received thirty, top10 listings in the Grand Prix among other accomplishments.
