Perpignon's pedigree is a kind of guarantee for jumping ability. His sire, Pilot, became a breeding legend during his lifetime. The Westphalian stallion is still a brand name for the transmission of show jumping ability. The sire of Perpignon's dam, Watzmann, is also renowned as producer of excellent show jumping horses. The young Perpignon himself won several show jumping competitions on intermediate level and was placed in competitions on "S" level. He already proved his outstanding jumping ability on the occasion of his stallion performance test in 1995, in which he achieved the second highest jumping index. Perpignon's first crops of foals are very promising: they have elastic movements and are very typey horses. |
