The highest degree of nobility, quality of movement, and rideability define this key half-blood Licotus in the European stallion scene. Licotus’ damsire, Donnerhall, is above reproach, and enjoys epochal appreciation in dressage breeding world-wide. Licotus’ pedigree is admirably founded with the Bolero-Duden II son, Balou, and the former Oldenburg licensing champion, Weltraum. The success of Lictotus in sport (victories and placings in Prix St. Georges and Intermediare II) and his success in breeding, bestowed upon him a FN Breeding Index of 130 points, and therefore a perfect start to a brilliant stallion career. Out of his first year of breeding were five licensed sons, four States Premium mares, two Verbands Premium mares, and the Reserve Champion of the 2008 East Coast OHBS-GOV Mare Performance Test in the US, Aussprache, owned by Nancy Holowesko of Crosiadore Farm. Licotus also presented Lunatico, the Bavarian champion stallion. Likewise, his licensed Westphalian son, Licosto, was sold for 200,000 Euro at the last NRW Auction to a Bavarian buyer. Another son, Livingstone, was sold at the Winter Mixed Sales Auction in Vechta for 32,000 Euro to a well known dressage sponsor in Oldenburg. The type and high rideability make the offspring of Licotus especially coveted. Licotus combines impressive breeding and sport. |
