Glamourdale is an honest and reliable horse with a very good attitude. The stallion is very willing to work. His walk is clear and ground covering, while the trot tremendous quality and is well-balanced. The canter is uphill, powerful and ground covering. Glamourdale has a lot of suppleness and with good self carriage. Glamourdale has a lot talent as a dressage horse and gives his rider a very good feeling. He can improve the exterior and the movement of a dressage horse.
Glamourdale's impressive beauty and superior breeding aided him in victory as the undisputed Champion of the 2014 KWPN Stallion Show. In 2016 he competed in the five-year-old division of the World Young Horse Championships and finished 10th in the Finals. In 2018 he resolidified his dominance in Holland by winning gold at the World Young Horse Championships for 7-year-old stallions. Here with his rider, Charlotte Fry, Glamourdale showed his strong and engaged trot with much expression and balance. He has stellar air time in his canter that is uphill and with substantial extension, as well as, a great talent to collect.
Glamourdale is a son of the top stallion Lord Leatherdale and by state premium mare (Pref) Thuja (v.Negro), considered one of the best Dutch broodmares. Thuja is the dam of the top stallion Glamourdale and the two elite mares Zonnebloem (v. Polansky) and Fresia (v. Jazz). Thuja is a full sister of the in England top Grand Prix horse Numberto (Spencer Wilton) and she is a niece of the very successful small tour horse Willem Alexander (v.Negro x Flemmingh x Ahorn Z). Great granddam Clementine (v.Ulft) is dam of Händel (v.Wolfgang), an international sport horse ridden by Michael Whitaker.
