In the current rankings of the world's best sires WBFSH, Diarado is the youngest representative amongst both the show jumping stallions (tenth place) and the eventing stallions (second place) in the top ten. Diarado owes this honour to his offspring, led by Don Diarado/Maurice Tebbel, WEG team bronze medallist, placed second in the Grand Prix of Prague/CZE and silver medallist at the German Championships, Dicas/Margie Goldstein-Engle/USA, winner of the Grand Prix of Deauville/FRA and Traverse City/USA, Donatello/Ashlee Bond/ISR, winner of the Grand Prix of Wellington/USA, Squirt Gun/Paul O’Shea/IRL, winner of the Nations Cup of Wellington/USA, and Ezra van W/Giampiero Garofalo/ITA, winner of the Grand Prix of Valencia/ESP. Dourades/Cian O’Connor/IRL, Dialetto PS/Conor Drain/IRL, Diarindo Z/Caroline Müller, Emerette/Michel Robert/FRA and Diachacca Rouge/Laura Klaphake, who was placed in the Youngster Tour, were just as successful, to mention just a few. Diarado's offspring registered in Germany alone have won almost 1.7 million Euros.
With an outstanding German FN Breeding Value Index of 161, Diarado is in the top 1% of all German jumper sires. He is the founder of a new line of international show jumping breeding. Diarado ranked 6th on the 2019 WBFSH Eventing Sire ranking. His first offspring won several riding horse and jumping tests in 2013 at which time he led the rankings with an amazing BVI of 169. In the BVI for Dressage horses, Diarado is also ranked above average.
In 2018, his son Diaron became the Bundeschampion for six-year-old show jumpers and won a prize of 1.3 million euros. The 2013 Oldenburg Stallion Days in Vechta became a Diarado festival: His son De Quidam became the OS champion stallion and Diarado's Boy was I-a main premium winner of the show jumping stallions. From his first offspring, 23 sons have been already been licensed in Germany, including numerous premium stallions: Eldorado de Hus in Westphalia 2011, who was sold for 165.000 Euros to France, and the stallion performance test winner Diacontinus. Every year, he presents true to type, big movers and therefore highly sought after foals at numerous auctions. Diarado's daughter, Jurwina, was the OS- champion mare at the Oldenburg Elite Mare show at Rastede.
Over 50 licensed sons of Diarado are registered in Germany alone, including our double German Champion, Diaron OLD, the OS Champion Stallion De Quidam, the stallion performance test winner Diacontinus, the Holstein regional Champion Dinken and the main premium winner Diarado's Boy, who have long since collected all the international ribbons, as well as the German Sport Horse show jumping winner Dialido, the Holstein Premium Stallion Delta One and a Hanoverian Premium Stallion. Amongst his daughters, the OS Champion mare Jurwina, the Champion Mare of the Franz-Strahl-Schäfer show in Baden-Württemberg, Dornröschen, and Edwina, who produced the 2018 Holstein Champion Stallion of the Year Cadilo, as well as the Oldenburg Vice Regional Champion Dakkara PS particularly stand out.
Diarado has embarked on a dream career: Licensing winner in Holstein 2007, stallion performance test winner in Schlieckau in 2008 and now proven sire. Diarado stands out due to his exemplary lightness of jump, sensational scope, feline agility and the intelligence demanded for today's technical jumping-courses. He received dream scores at his 70-day-test: 10.0 for free-jumping, 9.5 each for scope in canter and rideability, 9.75 for jumping a course as well as 9.3 for jumping ability.
In 2010 he won several tests for young show jumpers, including the final qualifier at the Bundeschampionate with a score of 9.3 and receiving twice the score of 9.0 in the final which resulted in a bronze medal with Bastian Freese. Since then, he has won intermediate (M**) and advanced (S) level classes.
His sire Diamant de Semilly belongs to the best jumping sires worldwide and with Eric Levallois won the team gold at the World Championships in 2002, one year later the team silver medal at the European Championship, and was repeatedly named Best Sire of Young Horses in France. Corrado I, Contender, Lord and Ramiro, all exceptional sires, feature in Diarado's Holsteiner dam line. The progeny of Corrado I, who was internationally successful with Franke Sloothaak, have won 3.28 million Euros in prize money, and Contender's progeny have won 7.68 million Euros!
Diarado descends from the Holsteiner dam line 318d2. This line also produced the licensed stallions Corofino I and II, Coriano, Crawford, Chello I-III, licensing winner Camiros as well as numerous international sport horses.
