Cyrano de Bergerac (Archived)

Cyrano de Bergerac placed with high scores as a 5 and 6 year old at show jumping level A through M. At M-level he was announced the winner at the qualification for the Bundes Championat under his rider Franke Sloothaak with a score of 9,0. As a 7 year old he was prepared, by his rider Frank Sloothaak, for the international sport. That's how he was next to numerous high places at S-level, also 2nd at the finales of the Audi Cup for Young horses in Gera. His sire Coriano moved, after a successful breeding and sports career, to the Gestuet Zangersheide/Belgium and to his new rider Judy-Ann Melchior/Belgium. Now he is back in Holstein. 14 licensed son’s account to his credit, one is Cheetano, who was 1.Reserve Champion at the Koerung in Holstein in 2002. Corianos sire “Corrado I” is a well known name in Holstein He was highly successful at Grand Prix (in Aachen and Frankfurt), World cup show jumping and Nations cups. Under his rider “Franke Sloothaak”, in 1994 the pair received the German Champions title. “Corianos” dam “Option” is sired by the legendary “Lord”, he was successful, under Herbert Bloecker, at international level doing Three Day Eventing. He was next to “Landgraf I” the most influential sire of the “Ladykiller xx” bloodlines, proving over and over again that these horses can jump. The great dam “Golda”, was sired by “Ramiro”. This stallion was the most influential sire in the Warmblood breeding throughout Europe. “Ramiro” himself was with his rider “Fritz Ligges” a Grand Prix jumper exraordinare. Cyrano de Bergerac’ s dam “Romanze” (breeding index dressage 126 points) is the daughter of “Ricardo” an elite stallion, who is sired by “Ronald”. He started his breeding career in 1978 in Baden-Wuertemberg, he was stationed in Holstein from 1985 through 1988. In the South of Germany and also in Holstein he left a large number of highly successful offspring behind. Like the stallion “Ratsherr” under “Toni Hassmann” who competed successfully at international level and also the stallion “Risandro” under “Samantha Mc Intosh” , this pair also competed international. “Ricardo” decants from the Holsteiner line Stamm 1298. The probably most famous stallion from this line is the Holsteiner stallion “Lord”. This dynasty is now known as the “Lord Stamm”. The great grand sire on the dam line is “Labrador” he is a 3/4 brother to the famous stallion “Landgraf I””. Through “Ladykiller xx” and “Aldato/Anblick xx” receives the Holsteiner “Labrador” the most valuable genes, which are a absolute must in the Holsteiner jumping horse breeding. Cyrano de Bergerac’ s” ground covering and excellent movement, at all 3 gaits, is the influence of his great grand dam “Taenzerin” (by Trautmann/T. out of Libelle (Lateran x Aljan). She decants out of the Hannover Stamm “Ahnenflamme” (by Ahoi - Dekan - Fakir - Moritz - Neugold - Kingo ...). This line has also produce a lot of successful show hoses and influential breeding stallions.
