Crown Z 1380 has, with both Christian Ahlmann and Judy Ann Melchior, competed successfully at the highest level. He has proven his value to breeding through the countless offspring who perform on show jumping courses up to, and including, the 5* Grand Prix and the World Cup level.  Some famous offspring are Calgary Mury Marais Z and Crocus Mury Maria's Z (both ridden by Patrick Mc Entee), Rocker D'Ysieux (competed by Emeric George), Crannus Z (Dennis Caubergs), and Cassis Ten Halven Z and Carla de Kalvarie Z ( the latter two ridden by Ludo Philippaerts). Crown Z has manyapproved sons, to name a few who are active in France, Zangersheide and Holland; Rêve du Paradis, Clic Clac Z, Carpe Diem for Waterschoot Z, Sire du Montois and Crowntano Z.

Crown Z's pedigree is a pure performance strain. Sire Carthago Z started his career under Jos Lansink and went to the Olympic Games twice; 1996 in Atlanta and 2000 in Sydney. Offspring of Carthago Z have received prizes in show jumping totaling more than four million EUR. Carthago Z has more than 40 approved sons and they continuously show outstanding potential and are highly sought-after.

The well-known, legendary mare Ratina Z is the dam of Crown Z, who is one of four approved brothers. Comme il Faut (competed by Marcus Ehning), Rex Z (ridden by Jos Lansink) and Treasure Z (with Mohamed Medhat as a rider) are the three half brothers to Crown Z. Ratina Z has had an unlikely career, with several OS and World Cup medals with both Piet Rajmakers and Ludger Beerbaum in the saddle. A daughter of Ratina Z, Calipa Z (by Cor de la Bryère), has left approved stallions Cayetano Z and Chicago Z (both Caretano), Hans Anders Z (by Acord II) and Rabiat Z (e. Rebel II Z) and international jumping horses Santa Catarina La Silla (by Cascaretto) and Camilo LS La Silla (by Montebello La Silla).  Ratina Z is the famous Holstein ​​tribe number 8145, which provided approved stallions such as Ahorn Z, Amiro Z, Carpe Diem Z, Cheurano Z, Corner Z, Courtello Z.
