The High "C" of Jumper Breeding The loss of this likable sport stallion with such tremendous potential for the future from a tragic accident was very sad, but fortunately he is still available to breeders through frozen semen! This young Holstein stallion from line 1446 drew particular attention from horsemen at the 2001 licensing in Oldenburg because of his highly refined appearance, his elastic sequence of movements, and above all because of his sensational jumping. In the following spring, he was the sovereign winner of the 30-day test in Vechta, exceeding all expectations. Along with a convincing talent for dressage (8.1), his ability to jump was simply phenomenal (9.4). He had also qualified for the Bundeschampionate when he was five years old. Everyone is talking about his offspring. The far more than 100 horses registered in sport by this young sire who lost his life so early is a statement on its own. But Con Capitol doesn't just draw attention because of his offspring in sport. Very recently, in 2009 at the Oldenburg Elite Broodmare Show in Rastede, his daughter Rio Cola was crowned the best jumper mare of the year by the Oldenburg Verband. His licensed son, Con Capilot, came with a price tag of 195,000 Euros, the top priced horse at the NRW Elite Auction and he now successfully competes in show jumping. After his son Condeur was licensed, another son named Conassis followed in 2010. |
