The long-legged, typey Christian lived up to high expectations as he achieved an excellent eighth place at the 2011 Bundeschampionate for 5 yr. old Jumpers after he qualified with ease for the finals with scores of 8.6 and 8.4.

His sire, Cartani, the result of breeding the two-time Olympic stallion Carthago Z to the WC team gold winner, Taggi, competed for the Danish Nations Cup team at the CHIO in Aachen in 2011, and he is being further developed by Marcus Ehning. Cartani has sired several sons that were licensed in Oldenburg, Holstein and Belgium.

Christian's dam, Free Lilly, competed in sport under the name "Who knows Lilly", and participated in the Olympic Games in Athens, Greece in 2004. In spite of only a brief breeding period, the dam’s sire, Lord Liberty, produced top horses by the dozens.

Christian's granddam, Miss Playback, is the dam of the licensed stallions Liberty Life (by Lord Liberty), Lord Pezi and Lord Pezi Two (both by Lacros), all of which were successful up to advanced level. Christian's great granddam, Wichtelfe (Windspiel) was also an advanced (S) level show jumper. Performance line of Schwabensprung.
