| Used a full dose from SES plus 2 Extra straws purchased from another broker because mare had multiple follicles. The mare was expected to ovulate approximately 2am. Using a timed protocol, we bred the full dose at 8pm and the extra 2 straws at 8am because the other follicle was still holding on (Ultimately, she did not ovulate that 2nd follicle). Same collection as the 12yo mare who got pregnant but vet said semen didn’t look as good as the other dose (same collection). Later vet specifically said it looked better as it warmed up (they checked again about 15 minutes later). Mare is pregnant and confirmed heartbeat. |
