As a son of the world champion Vigo d’Arsouilles, Bernini is as notable as his father with the exceptionally good use of his body over the fence. At the KWPN licensing, he scored 9’s for both his jumping ability and technique. Along with the stallion Ukato, Willem Greve presented Bernini very well in the finals of the 2011 Vion Cup for the 5 year old jumping stallions. The damline of Bernini has been built out of mares that exclusively produce jumpers. His dam, Marvelous (Quick Start) was herself shown internationally under Rolf Göran Bengtsson. Her dam, Glad Tidings, jumped internationally, and has produced no less than 5 international jumpers. Also stemming from this Dutch mare line which has been built with top progenitors is the Grand Prix jumper Van Gogh ridden by Willie Melliger. The first foals of Bernini were born in 2011, and many were extremely positive with concern to size, length, and beauty. |
