Bernay (Archived)

A young dressage prospect from one of the most significant dam lines in Rhineland with an impressive silhouette, he has a noble look, with perfect basic gaits and, as expected, first-class rideability values. He is is eye-catching for spectators again and again. Corresponding to this high evaluation Bernay passed his 30-day test in Münster-Handorf with clearly above-average results and is now under the saddle on the way to stepping into the track of his half-brother Lord Leatherdale.
The highly talented sire Boston, who is bred in the Netherlands, had only a short spell of breeding in Germany. In the stable of Isabell Werth he was successful in tests for young dressage horses and, unfortunately, died early at the age of six. Despite of that, he presented half a dozen of esteemed licensed sons, including the Westphalian Champion 2014, and placed with the best in the German FN's predicted breeding value statistics.
The dam, Lady Leatherdale, is full sister of the licensed stallion, Lord Leatherdale, who won in dressage at advanced (S) level and, at a young age, he had been known as an extraordinary sire in the Netherlands.
Bernay represents probably the largest and widely spread Hanoverian line 630/Jessica (by Judan-Nord-Nathan-Bogdanowitsch-Mambrino II xx), that goes as far back as the 19th century and presented over 100 licensed stallions such as; Come si deve, Dirk, Dominikaner I, II and III, Goldjunge, Monolith, Woldemar, Wirbel I, II, and III (all state stud Celle), Marcus (state stud Dillenburg), Senatus, Kurator and Orkan (all state stud Neustadt/Dosse), Lafon, Servus, Steinadler, Perplex and Pontoromo (alle state stud Warendorf), Prinz Miro (private stallion Oldenburg, Rhineland), Prinz Oldenburg (private stallion Oldemnburg, Mecklenburg, internationally successful with Holger Wulschner) and Hallo (by Donnerhall-Pik Bube I-Ramiro-Hansakapitän/T.; 1994 champion mare at Oldenburg elite broodmare show Rastede), but also the internationally successful show jumpers Boyfriend (by Bariton) and Davos (by Duft I) with Gerd Wiltfang, Le Patron (by Lord Liberty) with René Tebbel as well as the internationally successful dressage horses Aventino (by Aalborg) with Rainhard Nielsen, Dorema (by Donnerkiel) with Ina Saalbach-Müller, Gino (by Grundstein II) with Linda Alicki (USA) and High Noon/Julia Westphal and Herbert Boger.
