balzflug

Balzflug is available only via frozen semen, as he unfortunately passed away. He is bred out of the best performance bloodlines in the Trakehener Studbook. His sire Habicht is noted as one of the most influential sires of excellent dressage ability, having produced many nationally ranked top mares and several approved stallions. Habicht is the sire of the noted stallion Cocktail who produced Martini. Habicht also sired the 2004 US Olympic bronze medal winner in Eventing Windfall. Habicht’s grand sire Lapis is pure Arabian and can be found in many approved Trakehner stallion pedigrees. Balzflug’s dam States Premium Balzjagd is by Insterfeuer by Pellion. The combination of Habicht and Balzjagd produced another approved son Balzruf and a mare who earned the top score for her performance test. Balzjagd has Nearco XX on both the top and bottom of her pedigree, she also carries the coveted Nasrullah XX blood through DS Minole II. During the 2002 stallion test, three Balzflug sons were approved, out of mares by De Niro, Jazz and Montecristo. Balzflug was also approved for the Belgian and KWPN Studbooks.
