Abke: a capital jumper with a pronounced and beautiful form who has the utmost in elasticity. The course is where he feels at home. His ability, leg technique and bascule meet the highest demands, and his ability to deal with fences is absolutely phenomenal, as when it brought him spontaneous applause at the 2001 Oldenburg Stallion Days. His sire, Acorado I, won his stallion performance test and is now being successfully shown as a jumper. The dam's sire, Contender, one of the most time-tested performance makers ever in Holstein, also won his stallion performance test. Raphael, the third link in the ancestor gallery, is deemed one of the most significant performance-makers of our day. Also worth mentioning is the three-time inbreeding to Ramiro and Cor de la Bryére in the earlier generations. The dam line also produced the well-known sires, Agrigento (private stallion in Oldenburg), Grandelstein (State Stud Neustadt/Dosse), Kadett (State Stud Celle), Noble Dancer (private stallion in Oldenburg), President (Belgium) as well as the Bavarian State Stud sires, Rivero I (Southern German Riding Horse Champion) and Rivero II (approval and stallion test winner), both of which are successful in international level dressage. |
