Sweetwaters Ziethen TSF is the star of the international young event horse scene. In 2020, he was the undisputed winner of the FEI World Championships of seven-year-old event horses in Lion d’Angers, France, further cementing his reputation as one of Europe’s most promising event horses.

Approved in Neumünster, Germany, as a two-year-old, Sweetwaters Ziethen TSF impressed with his outstanding overall athleticism and especially noteworthy jumping, which he translated into a very successful stallion performance test with a 7.93 score for his jumping. The judges commented on Ziethen's performance during the test rider presentation; "Yesterday the stallion impressed with uniformity, balance, high rideability values, positive charisma and good attitude to the jump. He knows how to use his body and you can see that he is very far in training.” From his very first competition season in 2018, he has been in training with Germany’s Olympic squat member Sophie Leube, and has produced multiple wins and placings in young dressage horse and show jumper classes as well as event horse classes. He qualified and competed at Germany’s famous Bundeschampionat and already had a stellar run at Lion d’Angers as a six-year-old, finishing 5th in 2019. In 2020, Ziethen had international victories in CCI3*-S in Langenhagen (GER), as well as, in CCI2*-S in Weserstede (GER) and Kronenberg (NED) and high international rankings in CCI3*-S in Arville (BEL) and Strzegom (POL). He is also successful at 1.30 m show jumping.

Ziethen is now competing in international eventing competitions up to CCI3*. During the 2018 season, Sweetwaters Ziethen TSF did everything right with two wins in class A* show jumping competitions and a second place and two additional placings in class A** show jumping competitions. He was victorious and placed in class A*and A** eventing horse competitions and placed in class A dressage horse competitions up against strong competition. Ziethen won the Combined Exam Kl. A* (Dr./Spr./Gl.) at the Trakehner Bundesturnier in Hannover.

This stallion has some victories and placings in GPF Class L and SPF Kl. L in 2019. With rider Sophie, Ziethen is an outstanding dressage horse and a brilliant performer on terrain. Cross-country is where he revealed his full potential. In 2020, he had international victories in CCI3*-S in Langenhagen (GER), as well as, in CCI2*-S in Weserstede (GER) and Kronenberg (NED) and high international rankings in CCI3*-S in Arville (BEL) and Strzegom (POL). He is also highly placed up to Class M SPF. As the youngest Trakehner in the international ranking of VS horses, Ziethen is currently ranked 74th with his previous successes. He once again qualified for the World Championship of Young Versatility Horses in Le Lion d'Angers in 2020 and won the competition and is officially world champion of seven-year-old versatility horses. The breeders of Ziethen, Ingrid Schön and Dr. Dieter Schön, received the Fritz Schilke badge in silver for the best Trakehner versatility horse of 2020 at the 58th Neumuenster stallion auction.

His sire Abendtanz competed successfully at 1.40 m show jumping and is currently the highest rated Trakehner in the FN's versatility index with offspring successful in all three major disciplines (dressage index: 104, jumping index: 120). Abendtanz is inbred to the legendary Kostolany, who not only produced versatile performance horses, but also founded one of the world’s most notable dressage lines via his son Gribaldi and his many offspring, including the iconic World Champion Totilas. Abendtanz’s dam, Amazing TSF, was also a successful show jumper at 1.35 m. Ziehten’s dam, the Polish-bred Angloarabian Zaria AA, competed in show jumping prior to her breeding career and has three FN-registered offspring competing in Germany. Her pedigree is a combination of successful Polish and French Anglo-Arabian lineages, with a special focus on eventing and show jumping. Dam sire Campetot AA produced three approved sons and a number of successful performance horses in the Polish breed, among them the mare Bretania AA with success at international 1.60m show jumping.
