Fackeltanz OLD won one test after the other for young dressage horses in L Level (~2nd Level US) in 2010, including a qualifier for the Bundeschampionate for five-year old dressage horses. With that record, this black stallion, who is a member of the Oldenburg Sport Sponsorship Program, completed the requirements for licensing and will now be further trained in the show stables at Schloss Achleiten in Austria.
Fackeltanz OLD was the celebrated Reserve Champion of the licensing in Vechta in 2007. He took his 30-day test in Schlieckau which he finished with high scores for his gaits and rideability, and then went on to win A Level (~First Level US) tests for young dressage horses. His gorgeous foals are blessed with exceedingly active hindquarters, very good transmission and a striking inner tranquility. His sire Florencio I was a Vice Bundeschampion, two-time dressage horse World Champion, and has meanwhile won internationally in the short tour. He was awarded the Oldenburg main premium for stallions with emphasis on dressage in 2004. His dam St.Pr.St. Fackese was the 1996 Champion Mare of the Oldenburg Elite Broodmare Show in Rastede. The dam's sire Feinbrand was a Reserve Champion Stallion and Main Premium winner, placed in S Level (FEI Level) dressage , sired ten licensed sons and many sport horses, including the Junior Dressage Team European Champion, Florestan, ridden by Kathleen Keller. The granddam, St.Pr.St. Falarina, is also the dam of two M Level (~ 3rd/4th Level US) dressage horses, Porthos (by Pascha) and Feingold (by Feinbrand). Valuable performance bloodlines are also found in the third and fourth generation through the Thoroughbred stallion Thymian xx and Chronist. The traditional Oldenburg line of Fackila is also known for the licensed stallions Shepard Hit (by Sandro Hit) and Dr. Bon Jovi (by Dr. Doolittle) as well as numerous other sport horses that successfully competed in advanced level competitions.
