Since his licensing in Neumünster in 2009, Calmando has pursued a successful, performance-oriented sports career. Sire Calido I is one of the most important stallions worldwide and started off strong by being awared jumping Champion at his stallion performance test in Adelheitsdorf. Since then he has provided over 68 licensed sons like the internationally successful Cashmaker. Calido I, furthermore, has provided more than 270 offspring who are successful at the advanced level in dressage and showjumping.

The Dam line of Calmando is performance-oriented as well. The Holstein line 1525 has provided the stallions Carry Gold (by Carry), Cassini (by Concorde), Cazandro (by Calypso I) and Tanger (by Tumbled xx). Together with Chambertin, dam Niwitta provided Caballero who is highly successful at Grand Prix level with rider Daniel Deußer. Niwitta's son Ecosse (by Ephebe For Ever) placed at the advanced level with rider Karin Ernsting. Granddam Charity provided advanced level showjumper Celina (by Cassini) and Great granddam Liwitta provided Calamax (by Calando I), an advanced level sport horse. Calmando's sister Ulandia (by Chambertin) provided Crass (by Carrico), who is licensed in Holstein.

The pedigree of Calmando is outstandingly enhanced by the noble blood of Frivol xx and Trebonius xx.
