Cassus (Archived)

Cassus
VIDEO
In 2005 and 2006, Cassus was approved by most of the sport horse breeding societies in Germany, and in 2007, his first foal year was anxiously awaited. The Breeding Director of the Holsteiner Verband, Dr. Thomas Nissen commented, “Cassus is a completely modern Cassini I son”.  Under the internationally successful rider, Christian Ahlmann, Cassus was very successful in sport including a third place in the jump-off at the international World Cup qualifier in Vienna, Austria and a victory of the Sprehe Feinkost Youngster Tour in Munich in 2006. Christian commented on the win in Munich that, “…in each round he grew and excelled.” (Please note that the video is of Cassus, not Cassus 2)

To date, Cassus has produced 217 offspring registered with the Hanoverian Verband. Of those, 27 are approved broodmares, 10 of whom are States Premium mares or candidates. He has had 7 foals accepted in the auctions and 2 jumpers under saddle in the Elite Auctions.

Cassus is sired by Cassini I who belongs to the best and most influential stallions from Holstein. Under Bo Kristoffersen, Cassini I won the 1997 Nations Cup in Helsinki and participated in the European Championships in Mannheim. Later under Franke Sloothaak, Cassini I won the Großen Preis of Arnheim and was victorious at the Nations Cup in Modena, Italy. He also participated in the World Cup twice before being retired for breeding. He has sired over 30 approved sons world wide.
